Fall Internship

Gall Zeidler Consultants (GZ) is looking for enthusiastic Interns to help with the day-to-day general engineering and design activities in either our New York or Ashburn Offices. As an Office Engineer Intern at GZ, you will gain valuable hands-on engineering experience and be involved in the design, development and management of on-going national and international tunnel and underground infrastructure projects. You will be working directly with office engineers of varying experience throughout the duration of the internship. GZ offers internships in full time or part-time during the semester. This Job posting is open for all college students that are working towards a master’s degree or a bachelor’s degree in civil, structural, tunnel, or geotechnical engineering.

Responsibilities:

• Conceptual, preliminary and detailed design development
• Drafting with AutoCAD or MicroStation
• Design calculation, computation using formula and preparation of calculations
• Review, assist and modify reports, specifications and studies
• Use software for tunnel/civil engineering design

Qualifications:

• Relevant Geotechnical Engineering and Structural Engineering course preparation from a four-year university or college
• Interest in large, complex construction projects
• Strong report writing abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team
